Thrombosis Prevention

Heart attack and stroke are among the most common and devastating manifestations of thrombosis and represent the most prevalent cause of death and disability in our culture today. With directed support relying primarily on natural nutritional and herbal supplementation, I believe that these gruesome statistics can be changed. Of course, as a first step, elimination of refined foods from the diet, institution of adequate lymphatic stimulation, particularly through rebounding, and replacement of various sweet, acidic, and stimulating drinks with highly alkaline antioxidant water is essential to the eradication of all culturally based disease.

Some of the common risk factors involved in thrombosis, and their most common key antidotes recommended by Remission Foundation are:

Arterial wall inflammation Antioxidant water, MSM, Synergy C, and Vitamin P

Atherosclerotic plaque Chelation, TMG, Chitosan, MSM, and Synergy C

Atherosclerosis TMG and Chelation

Atrial fibrillation Magnesium Synergy and Vitamin E Spectrum

Blood viscosity elevation Ginkgo biloba (in various formulations)

Cancer (some forms) PABA, B17 Synergy, Apopogenesis, AngiogenX (see Cancer report for more)

Carotid stenosis Ginkgo biloba, TMG and Chelation (see also Atherosclerosis report)

Cigarette smoking Smoke Free program, AllerFree

Cyclooxygenase Chelation, Allium sativa Garlic, White Willow

Fibrinogen elevation Synergy C, NeurOmega, Fibrolysis Factors, Vitamin A

Heart attack BHB and Magenta color therapy immediately after, followed by Ginkgo biloba (in various formulations) and Heart Health

Heart valve replacement Homeopathic Arnica montana after surgery, followed Zinc Synergy to support wound healing, and after initial cicatrization, i.e. scar formation, MSM, Synergy C, Vitamin E Spectrum to reduce excess scar tissue

Homocysteine elevation TMG, Rise & Shine, Vital Energy Be, Sustain

Lipoxygenase Chelation

Oxidized LDL cholesterol Vitamin E Spectrum, CoQ10 (in Heart Health, others)

Platelet activating factor (PAF) Ginkgo biloba (in various formulations)

Platelet adhesion elevation Ginkgo biloba (in various formulations)

Platelet aggregation, ADP induced Chelation

Platelet aggregation, arachidonic acid-induced NeurOmega, Chelation

Platelet aggregation, collagen-induced Chelation

Platelet aggregation, epinephrine induced Chelation

Platelet aggregation, serotonin-induced avoid 5-HTP, Try & Tyr supplements

Platelet (thrombocyte) count, elevated Mucor racemosus

Platelet free radicals Vitamin E Spectrum

Prostaglandin E2 NeurOmega

RBC hyperaggregation (roulleau) Binder Complex, NeurOmega

Red blood cell protein kinase activity (PKC) increase Genistein

Thromboxane A2 Chelation

Thrombin activating factor Ginkgo biloba

Thrombotic stroke Fibrolysis Factors, Magnesium Synergy, Magenta

Tissue plasminogen activity (tPA) deficiency Vitamin P

Triglycerides elevation NeurOmega

20% of strokes are hemorrhagic, often related to aneurysms. Prevention includes supplementation of Copper Aspartate (often together with Zinc), quercetin dihydrate, and bilberry to enhance vessel wall strength and flexibility. Immediate treatment with the drugs Hydergine and piracetam (European) is recommended. Avoid taking blood-thinning products like aspirin (indefinitely), white willow, and Ginkgo biloba (for at least a couple of weeks).

General supplementation recommendations developed at Remission Foundation for reducing thrombotic risk include:

nutrient basic source supplemental primary function

Water, antioxidant H2 Miracule Water Microwater LDL antioxidant

Fiber One Step Binder Complex reduce cholesterol

Vitamin B6 One Step B Complexes reduce homocysteine

Vitamin B12 One Step Sublingual B12 reduce homocysteine

Folic acid One Step B Complexes reduce homocysteine

PABA One Step B Complexes especially with cancer

Trimethylglycine TMG TMG reduce homocysteine

Vitamin C One Step Synergy C reduce fibrinogen

Vitamin E One Step Unique E reduce platelet aggregation & LDL oxidation

Coenzyme Q10 Mitochondrial Biogenesis Heart Health prevent LDL oxidation

EDTA Chelation Chelation inhibit blood clotting (EDTA is used in laboratories to keep blood samples from clotting in vitro)

Magnesium Magnesium Synergy Neuro Magnesium calcium channel blocking to relax smooth muscle and enhance blood flow

EPA, DHA NeurOmega NeurOmega protective against inflammatory platelet aggregation related to prostaglandin E2, reduce triglycerides (35%), may decrease fibrinogen level plus many of the clot preventing functions of Allicin

Bilberry Vitamin P Vitamin P enhances capillary flexibility and reduce fragility

Proteolytic enzyme Fibrolysis Factors Clear the Way reduce fibrinogen

Ginkgo in many formulations in formulations inhibit PAF, thrombin activating factor, platelet adhesion and excess viscosity

Ginsenosides Adaptogens Adaptogens adaptogen

Allicin Allicin Allicin blood thinning protection against platelet aggregation by collagen, arachidonic acid, ADP and epinephrine; inhibits cyclooxygenase and lipooxygenase -induced thromboxane A2 synthesis

Genistein One Step Isoflavones inhibit protein kinase C

Green tea extract Vitamin P Vitamin P anti-platelet agent

Grape skin extract Vitamin P Vitamin P increase tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) level and other mechanisms

White willow bark White Willow White Willow inhibit cyclooxygenase-2 and thromboxane A2 involved in abnormal clot formation (avoid if taking coumadin)

Blood tests recommended to monitor thrombotic risk may include:

Partial thromboplastin time (PTT)
Fibrinogen
D-Dimer of fibrin
Prothrombin
Darkfield microscopy (rouleau, plaques, clotting, etc.)
