Acceptance comes first…

Acceptance is the first step in making a difference in the way things are… After all, things are the way they are, no matter how much we want them to be different.

Christ redeemed us all, nunc pro tunc: now for then (or in this case, then for now). Historically, just as fields sustain better yields of nutrition when periodically allowed to lay fallow so the herbs and microbes can regenerate the health and nutrition of the soil, people were traditionally given a rest from their debts through the 7-year cycle of Jubilee. The modern commercial redemption process facilitates reinstatement of this fundamental need for rest and freedom from the relentlessly grinding wheels of commerce, bringing to bear, among other key concepts, acceptance for full value.

The only thing we can own in the Truth is our mistakes, our errors, our sins, as we miss the mark of perfect virtue. And the only real mistake is one we have not yet learned from….
